Corail Noir
Corail Noir is a coastal dive site near Saint-Paul on Réunion Island, typically reached in under 15 minutes by boat from the west coast towns. The site features a rocky reef and patches of hard corals that host a variety of reef fishes common to the western Indian Ocean. Expect calm conditions with gentle currents and good visibility when conditions are favorable. Depths are shallow to moderate, making it suitable for introductory to intermediate divers depending on the line you follow along the reef. Access is straightforward from nearby dive centers in Saint-Gilles-les-Bains and Saint-Paul, and the area often sees spotted eagle rays and schools of fusiliers, along with typical tropical reef species.
