Cap Benat

Cap Benat is a shallow to moderately deep Mediterranean site near Bormes-les-Mimosas, Le Lavandou and Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer. Access is straightforward from the coastal towns, with sheltered coves and rocky drops that attract a range of coastal life. Expect clear water, typical Western Mediterranean species such as groupers, moray eels and octopus, with posidonia meadows on the sandier bottoms. The site is commonly explored along drop-offs and small caves or crevices, suitable for beginner to intermediate profiles depending on current and depth. It’s a local, easy-access site that offers relaxed excursions and a chance to observe the region’s familiar marine habitats without being a far-travel destination.
