Cadaqués

Cala Figuera

Cala Figuera is a small coastal dive site accessed from the Costa Brava towns of Cadaqués and Roses, with the dive area remaining close to shore. The site typically features rocky seabed and gentle slopes, suitable for beginner to intermediate divers. Expect Mediterranean conditions: clear to moderate visibility and mild currents depending on wind; entry is usually from the rocky shoreline and some sites offer easy exits. The marine life is representative of the Western Mediterranean: groupers, octopus, wrasses, moray eels, and a variety of small tropical-like reef-builders along the rocky reefs. The site is commonly used for short, relaxed dives and sometimes as a training site, rather than a destination for deep or technical dives. Access is straightforward from nearby towns, with several dive centers operating out of Cadaqués and Roses offering guided trips. Typical divers visit Cala Figuera for macro life and scenic rocky walls at shallow to moderate depths, often staying shallower than 20 metres.
