Cala Egos
Blue Hole Sa Galera
Blue Hole - Sa Galera is a shallow, sheltered dive site off the southeast coast of Mallorca, near Cala d'Or. The site features a small, circular entrance into a vertical crack that leads to a deep blue shaft, typically explored en forma of a gentle descent along a wall with clear visibility. Depths are generally moderate, with the best dives around the 6–18 meter range, depending on currents and the chosen entry point. The area is known for easy drift potential in certain conditions and for a calm, beginners-friendly profile on calm days. Expect rocky substrate, sparse initial macro life and Western Mediterranean species such as damselfish, wrasses, groupers, octopus and moray eels around the crevices, with posidonia meadows nearby. Access is straightforward from local towns; there are nearby dive centers in Cala d’Or and Felanitx offering guided excursions.
