Baung Penyu Conservation Site

Baung Penyu Conservation Site is a shallow, sandy-to-reef area in the Padangbai region, typically approached from nearby Padangbai. The site offers calm conditions suitable for beginner to intermediate divers exploring a gentle slope with patches of hard and soft corals, sandy pockets, and small reef formations. Expect a calm current at times and clear water typical of sheltered Balinese bays. Marine life commonly includes reef fish such as damselfish and angelfish, curious wrasse, and occasional invertebrates like sea cucumbers and crabs. The area is designated for conservation, so divers are encouraged to observe and not disturb the habitat.
