Ancorone

Ancorone is a shore-accessible dive site near the town of Cavo on the island of Elba. The site’s character is defined by rocky seabed with moderate relief and gentle slopes, making it suitable for relaxed bottom times and easy navigation. Typical conditions are calm seas and clear visibility in good weather, with water temperatures common to the central Tyrrhenian coast. Expect Mediterranean reef fauna such as wrasses, damselfish, and octopus, along with some reef-associated invertebrates. Access is straightforward from nearby coastal paths or beaches, and entry varies with swell and tidal state.
