7th Heavens

7th Heavens is a local Maldivian dive site near Dhigurah and Dhangethi, located in the South Ari Atoll. Access is straightforward from nearby inhabited atolls, with divers typically entering from shallow lagoon edges and following gentle contours toward deeper water. The site is characterized by vibrant coral gardens, sandy patches, and a mix of reef and slope slopes that host a range of tropical species. Typical visibility is good, especially in the dry season, and currents can be variable but usually manageable for recreational divers. Expect a medley of reef fish, including fusiliers, angelfish, parrotfish, and damselfish, with occasional reef sharks and around the outer edges, larger pelagics may pass. The underwater topography offers gentle walls, modest drop-offs, and opportunities for macro life in the shallows.
