Beihai

Beihai in Guangxi sits by the South China Sea and is more of a coastal city than a major diving hub. With limited local dive sites and a small number of centers, the city acts as a gateway to nearby reefs and coastal dives along the South China Sea, including shorter boat trips from Beihai. Divers visiting may find some beginner-friendly shore dives or nearshore sites, but overall the area is not renowned for a high concentration of dive sites. For dedicated diving, many come from Beihai as a stepping stone to nearby coastal destinations and quarries in the wider region, while local centers offer basic courses and equipment rental. The city’s elevation is modest and the freshwater options are not a primary draw for diving.
