Rakiraki

Rakiraki is a small town in Fiji’s Western Division on the island of Viti Levu, close to the Solomon Sea side. Diving here is typically organized via local operators using day trips from nearby launch points, with shore conditions and visibility varying by season and weather. Expect saltwater reef diving more than deep-blue open-water routes, and plan your dives around what’s running that day (and current sea conditions). Since the town itself isn’t a large resort hub, many divers treat Rakiraki as a base for access to surrounding coastal waters and for arranging courses or guided dives through regional dive teams rather than expecting a dense lineup of in-town sites.
