Tallinn is the capital and largest city of Estonia, and while it is not a coastal diving destination, it serves as a gateway to the country’s compact dive scene. The city itself has limited diving nearby, with deeper coastal options reachable by day trips along the Gulf of Finland. In practice, Tallinn functions as a logistics hub for divers—air and ferry access, a cluster of local dive centers offering PADI/SSI courses, equipment rental, and occasional wreck and reef dives reachable from nearby coastal sites. For freshwater or quarry diving, options exist further afield in Estonia, but are not located in the city itself. Expect temperate Baltic conditions, seasonal visibility variations, and a focus on training, drift awareness, and equipment handling in cooler water.
