Tombant An Eor

Tombant an Eor is a coastal dive site off the Brittany coast, typically approached from shore or small boats. It features a gentle to moderate wall-like drop, with a seabed that slopes from shallow first metres down to deeper sections beyond 20 metres depending on the current and local topography. Access is straightforward for boat or shore divers, with a protected inshore area commonly used by local divers from Porspoder and nearby ports. The site is known for typical Western European Atlantic biodiversity, including wrasses, pollock, scorpionfish, groupers and occasional moray eels, with sea fans, sponges and brown algaes typical of kelp and rocky habitats in this region. Visibility can vary with sea state, and currents may occur, so plan for a comfortable safety stop and appropriate drift awareness if the current strengthens. Entrées are usually via gentle slopes or small cracks in the rocky substrate, making it suitable for beginner to intermediate divers depending on conditions and dive plan.
