The Haystacks

The Haystacks is a shallow, offshore reef feature near Stock Island and Key West in the Florida Keys. The site features multiple rounded coral heads and sandy patches, creating a varied topography that appeals to both new and experienced divers. Expect typical Western Atlantic reef life such as damsel and wrasse species, parrotfish, grouper, and occasional reef sharks in the broader reef system, with healthy coral cover in favored spots. Entry is from a boat or shore-based dive center, and currents can vary, so plan for a slack to moderate drift depending on tide.
