Tångudden

Tångudden is a coastal Swedish dive site near the Bohuslän archipelago. Access is straightforward from nearby towns, with shallow shelving reefs and rocky bottoms typical of the Baltic Sea influence in the region. The site offers gentle conditions suitable for recreational divers, with a mix of small boulders, patchy algae, and pockets of seawhip and crusts along the substrata. Depths are commonly shallow, making it a good option for training dives or easy shore entries. Marine life in this area includes small figerly fish, blennies, wrasse species, and occasional scorpionfish and crustaceans along rocky crests. Visibility varies seasonally but is generally moderate, and currents are usually light to moderate, depending on tides. The area is well-suited for shore dives from Öckerö, Hönö, or Fotö with easy access near protected coves, and can be combined with visits to local krapsstone reefs and nearby sea stacks.
