Strandbad Hirschen

Strandbad Hirschen is a local shoreline dive site on Lake Thun, near Gunten, Oberhofen am Thunersee and Merligen. The site provides a calm freshwater environment typical of Alpine lakes, with easy access from the shore and a sandy to rocky bottom. Expect shallow depths and good visibility in calm conditions, making it suitable for beginner to intermediate divers and for shallow training dives. Marine life in freshwater lakes includes typical lake species such as smallz fish and aquatic plants; look for aquatic plants and resident invertebrates along the shore. The site is used primarily for short, relaxed dives close to the town limits, with easy entry from the lakeside promenade.
