Stareso

Stareso is a Mediterranean dive site near Calvi on Corsica, set along a rocky coastline with easy access from the shoreline. The site typically features gentle slopes and small ledges in shallow water, making it suitable for entry-level to intermediate divers depending on conditions. Visibility is often good in calm conditions, and currents are usually mild. Expect typical Western Mediterranean life such as groupers, wrasses, octopus, moray eels and shoals of small fish around rocky outcrops. The surrounding coves and clear waters offer scenic topography with a mix of rubble, patchy sand and low reef growth that supports a variety of inshore species. Access and entry are straightforward from nearby coastal towns, with multiple dive centers in Calvi and Lumio offering guided dives to the site.
