Silver Gardens is a shallow reef site off Utila, known for its patchy coral growth and a garden-like collection of small structures and ledges. The site features gentle currents and easy entry from a sandy bottom, making it suitable for beginner and drift-diver warm-ups. Expect a variety of common Caribbean reef fish, wrasses, and parrotfish, with occasional lobsters or moray eels around crevices. The underwater topography includes coral heads and small terraces that attract a range of small critters. Visibility is often fair to good in calm conditions, and divers can enjoy relaxed exploration at depths suitable for learning or relaxed dives between markings of the shallower reef zones.
