Secca Gorgonia Bianca
Secca Gorgonia Bianca is a shallow volcanic seabed site off the Ligurian coast near Bergeggi. It features a rocky wall and scattered rocky outcrops hosting a healthy assemblage of gorgonians and small sponges. Typical conditions are calm and clear, with water temperatures following seasonal coastal patterns. Depths commonly range from a few meters to around 12–20 meters, making it suitable for recreational dives and macro photography. The site is often accessed via local shore entries or short boat trips from nearby ports, with easy navigation along the rocky features. Expect Mediterranean reef fish such as damselfish, wrasse, groupers, octopus, and occasional ambon crabs among the crevices. Currents are usually light, but can pick up with tidal shifts. This site sits near Bergeggi and the Meda region, within easy reach of Spotorno and Merello for divers planning a Ligurian coast itinerary.
