Secca dello Scalino is a coastal dive site off Savona in the Liguria region. It features a shallow-to-moderate depth seabed with a number of rocky outcrops and a vertical drop that makes for interesting profiling. Access is typically from shore or a local boat, and conditions are influenced by coastal currents and tides. The site commonly hosts Western Mediterranean species such as groupers, moray eels, octopus, and a variety of wrasses and damselfish, with posidonia meadows nearby in the subtidal zones. It is suitable for experienced divers comfortable with coastal terrain, though calm conditions can make it accessible to intermediate-level divers as well.
