Lavagna
Sant'Anna
Sant'a (Sant’Anna) is a coastal dive site near Lavagna, just a short distance from the Ligurian towns of Lavagna, Sestri Levante and Chiavari. The site is accessible from the shore and commonly visited by local divers for shallow to mid-depth explorations. Expect typical Ligurian coastal conditions with clear water in good weather and visibility that can vary with swell. The underwater landscape features rocky bottoms, small caves and crevices, and a variety of Mediterranean fauna typical of the Western Mediterranean coastal zone. Divers often encounter wrasses, damselfish, moray eels, octopus and sessile invertebrates around rocky outcrops and among posidonia meadows. Entry is usually from a sandy beach or a sheltered rocky jetty, with a gentle descent and straightforward navigation. This is a practical local site well-suited to training dives and family outings, as well as kicks of a relaxed recreational dive for nearby residents and visitors.
