Sand Patch

Sand Patch is a shallow, sandy ledge dive site off the coast near Suva. The site is characterized by a flat sandy bottom with occasional patches of seagrass and scattered critter life. It’s suited to drift or relaxed no-vis exploration depending on currents, with a shallow depth profile commonly around a few meters to the low teens. Expect small reef fishes, arrow crabs, blennies and occasionally stingrays cruising the sand. Access is straightforward from nearby shore launches and local dive boats; vis can vary with plankton blooms and weather. This site is typically used for easy training dives in calm conditions or relaxed snorkel-friendly dives for new divers or photography sessions.
