Royal Palms Ledge

Royal Palms Ledge is a shallow to mid-depth dive site characterized by a rocky ledge structure that drops from surface level to around 18–25 meters, depending on where you enter. The site offers a mix of reef-platform habitats with scattered coral encrustations, crevices, and small caves, making it suitable for a range of skill levels. Entry is straightforward from the surrounding shoreline or a short boat transfer, and currents are generally mild to moderate, more noticeable at higher tides. Expect a calm tropical environment with clear to good visibility, typical Western Atlantic/Mediterranean-influenced reef life depending on local conditions. Common inhabitants include damselfish, parrotfish, wrasse, and nocturnal species in crevices; occasional larger reef fish may appear on the deeper edges. The site is often used for training dives, drift practice along the ledges, and easy reef exploration close to the bay. Proximity to George Town and nearby West Bay makes it a convenient option for day trips from these hubs.
