Redhook Harbor

Redhook Harbor is a sheltered, shallow Atlantic site suitable for calm-water training and beginner to intermediate dives. Located near Cruz Bay area with quick access from nearby towns, the site features a man-made or harbor area with relatively mild currents and clear water conditions typical of coastal Caribbean harbors. Expect shallow initial depths with gradual drop-offs and sandy bottoms interspersed with rocky outcrops, pilings, and scattered artificial structures that attract small reef fish, snapper, and damsel species. Visibility can vary with tides and weather, and entry is generally from a calm shore or boat-based approach. The site is commonly used for practice dives, buoyancy work, and easy underwater exploration close to shore. Always plan around harbor traffic and local regulations.
