Dryos
Prasonisi
Prasonisi is a coastal dive site on Rhodes known for its shallow, sandy slopes and clear turquoise waters. The site typically features gentle entry from a sandy beach, with opportunities to explore short, soft-bottom profiles and small patches of seagrass. Visibility is often good in calm conditions, making it suitable for beginners and guided dives, though currents can be present near the cape where the Aegean and Mediterranean waters mix. Expect common Mediterranean reef species such as damselfish, wrasse, and parrotfish, with occasional octopus or moray eel in rocky pockets. The nearby towns of Dryos, Agios Ioannis Trypitis, and Faragas provide convenient access points and local dive centers.
