Ponton Evolution 2

Ponton Evolution 2 is a local dive site near the Duingt–Talloires area on the shores of Lake Annecy. It is known for a man-made pontoon structure that provides a stable entry point and varied underwater terrain suitable for training dives, drift work along the edge, and shallow acclimation to lake conditions. The site typically features clear, freshwater conditions with calm surface currents and good visibility in most conditions. Divers commonly explore around the legs of the pontoon to find small endemic lake fish and macro life, including perch, sunfish, and various species of small invertebrates that inhabit the wooden pilings and rocky substrate nearby. Entry is easy from nearby shore access, and the surrounding lakebed drops gradually, making it a suitable option for beginners and for practicing buoyancy and navigation skills in a protected freshwater environment.
