Monica Wreck is a local Caribbean wreck dive near Higüey and Punta Cana, accessible to divers staying along the eastern Dominican Republic. The wreck is commonly described as a small vessels wreck lying in shallow to mid-depth water, making it suitable for introductory to intermediate wreck divers depending on currents. Expect a seabed of sand and patchy debris around the hull, with possibilities to see reef fish, moray eels and small around-structure species typical of Caribbean wreck sites. Entry is usually from a sandy bottom and the wreck can be explored for short penetrations or exterior exploration, depending on local conditions and certification levels. Check local conditions and depth limits with a local dive center before planning the dive.
