Manila Channel is a local dive site near Manila, accessible from nearby coastal communities. The site typically features shallow, calm conditions with easy entry from the shoreline or small boats. Expect sandy bottoms interspersed with scattered patches of rubble and small reef formations, suitable for beginner and training dives. Marine life is modest but can include small reef fish, gobies, and crabs, with occasional juvenile pelagics or ribbon fishes in calm conditions. Visibility varies but is generally moderate, and currents are usually mild. This site is commonly used for practice dives, buoyancy control, and basic underwater navigation close to the capital’s urban area.
