Makauwa Reef

Makauwa Reef is a local reef dive site off the northeast coast, commonly visited from nearby beach towns. The site offers a shallow to moderate depth range with easy access for recreational divers. Expect a typical tropical Indo-Pacific setup with coral gardens, small reef fish, and patches of sandy bottom. Conditions are usually calm in sheltered seas, with clear water typical of coastlines around Zanzibar.
