Madivaru Sand Bank

Madivaru Sand Bank is a shallow, sandy plateau in the Rasdhoo Atoll area, known for gentle conditions and easy conditions for macro and drift-friendly drills. This site features a soft-bottom landscape with scattered sandy patches and occasional small reefs nearby, attracting reef fish and the usual Maldives lagoon species. Divers typically enjoy relaxed bubble-tounter entry from the boat, with clear water and calm surface conditions. It’s suitable for beginners or as a casual drift dive along the sand flats, with opportunities to spot small reef species and pelagic movement nearby in deeper channels if conditions allow. Access is straightforward from Rasdhoo, usually a short boat ride from the village dock.
