Rasdhoo

Madivaru Channel

Madivaru Channel is a tidal pass off Rasdhoo known for clear water, strong currents, and vibrant reef life. The site features a channel that guides water through a coral-lined notch, with sloping drop-offs and patches of hard coral attract and shelter a variety of reef species. Divers typically start at the channel edge and follow the swift water along the reef, keeping an eye on current, viz, and navigation. Expect encounters with reef fishes, angelfish, trevally, schooling fusiliers, turtles, and occasional larger pelagics in season. The site is best suited to experienced divers comfortable with current and appropriate buoyancy control; drift dives are common depending on conditions. Access is easy from Rasdhoo, with short boat rides and straightforward entry from the reef edge.
