Los Candelabros
Los Candelabros is a convenient shallow reef dive site off the coast near Almuñécar. The site typically features a series of rocky ridges and low-lying coral formations with sand patches in between. Entry is from a calm shore or small boat drop, with gentle currents and good visibility typical of the area. Expect Mediterranean species common to the western Andalusian coast, including small groupers, wrasses, damselfish, octopus, and sea urchins, plus patches of Posidonia meadows in sandy areas. It provides a relaxed introduction to coastal underwater topography for local divers and guests based in nearby towns.
