Lobster Point

Lobster Point is a relaxed Sri Lankan dive site near coastal towns, offering straightforward access from nearby fishing and tourist hubs. The site typically features shallow to mid-depth conditions with sandy patches and scattered reefy areas where lobsters and small reef fish are common. Entry is usually via a gentle shore or beach approach followed by a short swim to the reef edge. Visibility is often good in calm conditions, and currents are generally mild, making it suitable for recreational divers, including those newer to coastal dives. The area is part of a broader reef system along the southwest coast, with typical species such as wrasses, gobies, and small groupers frequenting the shallows.
