Lion Reef 1

Lion Reef 1 is a coastal dive site located near Grand Baie, Mauritius. The site typically features a shallow to mid-depth reef environment with healthy coral formations and a variety of reef fish. Access is straightforward from nearby shore facilities, making it suitable for reef immersion and drift-style dives depending on currents. Expect clear tropical water, moderate visibility, and typical Western Indian Ocean species such as parrotfish, damselfish, angelfish, angelfish, groupers and snappers. The topography often includes a gentle slope with scattered bommies and small caves or crevices that attract marine life.
