Maccagno Con Pino E Veddasca

Lido Maccagno

Lido Maccagno is a shallow, lake-dominated dive site on Lake Maggiore in northern Italy. It lies near the resort area of Maccagno with Pino and Veddasca and is commonly accessed from Maccagno or nearby Luino. The site features clear freshwater with typical lake conditions and moderate visibility. Entry is usually from the buoyed shore or a small dock, with gentle slopes and rocky bottom that drop off gradually. Divers often explore near submerged rocks, aquatic vegetation, and small drop-offs, with calm, predictable conditions most of the year. Common freshwater lake life includes perches and other small fish, carp, and occasionally larger species in deeper sections; depending on season, aquatic plants such as charophytes and reeds may be present along the shore. The site is popular for training and short recreational dives, suitable for beginners with supervision and appropriate equipment.
