Les Anses D'arlet
L'arbre Mort
L'arbre Mort is a coastal wall dive site off Martinique's southwest coast, typically reached from the near-shore drop-off. The site features a vertical structure starting in shallow depths and descending along a rocky face, with clear water and moderate currents common on the leeward side of the island. Expect a mix of hard and soft corals, gorgonians, and a variety of reef fish typical of Caribbean reefs. Entry is straightforward from a small boat or shore access near the shoreline, with a clean exit in calmer conditions. Depths usually range from a few metres down to around mid-teens, depending on the chosen line of descent. This site suits intermediate divers comfortable with a wall profile and occasional current; as always, plan to dive with a local operator and monitor buoyancy and surroundings to protect the reef.
