Kembala Reef
Kembala reef is a shallow coastal reef site off the Istrian coast, suitable for gentle introductory dives and skills practice. The area features a sloping seabed with assorted hard corals, gorgonians and a mix of small reef fish. Entry is typically from a calm, sheltered shoreline or a gently sloping boat drop, making it accessible for beginners and divers new to the area. Visibility is generally moderate, with conditions dependent on wind and currents. Expect common Mediterranean species such as wrasses, damselfish, groupers, octopus and lobsters in nearby crevices and overhangs. The site lies within easy reach of coastal towns like Crveni Vrh, Savudrija and Portorož, offering nearby dive centers and shore access.
