Kapalua Beach

Kapalua Beach is a shallow, coastal site on Maui’s northwest coast. Typical conditions include calm mornings, mild currents, and clear to light turbid water depending on wind and swell. The area supports a straightforward entry and is popular with local divers for practicing buoyancy and finning techniques. Marine life is common for a tropical reef environment, with small reef fish, wrasses, damselfish, and occasional green sea turtles around rocky outcrops and coral heads.
