Kahala Barge
Kahala Barge is a local reef-style dive site off Oahu’s south shore near Honolulu. The site features a sunken barge resting on sandy bottom with surrounding rubble and small coral growth. Depths are typically shallow to moderate, making it accessible to recreational divers with basic training. Entry is from a boat via a gentle descent to the wreck and surrounding seabed, with calm conditions common in this sheltered area. Expect a variety of small reef fish, occasional urchins and snappers, and visibility that can range with currents and weather. The site lies within easy reach of nearby towns, with East Honolulu and Honolulu serving as convenient launch points within a few miles for operators based in the area.
