Yankit
Jissah Island
Jissah Island is a local coastal dive site near Muscat, Oman, with access from the nearby coast and Jissah area. The site is typically visited by local divers for shallow reef exploration and wall sections that drop off toward deeper waters. Expect clear tropical Arabian Sea waters, moderate to good visibility, and a mix of soft and hard corals, sponges, and a variety of reef fish such as parrotfish, snappers, and angelfish. Currents are usually mild but can increase with the tides, so planning a drift or anchored dive with local operators is advisable. The site’s proximity to Muscat and nearby towns makes it a convenient option for day trips and short excursions from the city.
