Iwa

Iwa is a local dive site near the coast of Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Situated close to Manazuru, Odawara and Yugawara, it is typically accessed after a short coastal transfer. The site features rocky reef-like structures and small to moderate caverns and swim-throughs that suit beginner to intermediate divers. Depths are generally shallow, with most dives staying within gentle slopes and walls that begin around a few meters and descend to mid-teens in favored conditions. Expect calm coastal water, often good visibility, and a typical mix of temperate reef life such as wrasse, damselfish, and small eels, with the possibility of larger schooling fish in season. Local dive centers in the area commonly offer guided dives and boat trips to Iwa and nearby rocky outcrops.
