Higashiizu
Hokkawa Kajikaki
Hokkawa Kajikaki is a local dive site near Higashiizu and Ito on the Izu Peninsula. It offers easy access from the coast with gentle entry and a typical shallow to mid-depth reef framework. The site features a sloping sand and rocky bottom transitioning to small reef habitats, suitable for macro life and straightforward navigation. Expect common Western Pacific species such as damselfish, wrasse, and maybe octopus or moray eels in and around the rocky patches. Visibility can vary with weather and currents, and conditions are generally calmer in sheltered bays. This site is often used by local divers to practice buoyancy and basic reef exploration, rather than a destination for long-range exploration.
