South Hams
Heybrook Bay
Heybrook Bay is a shallow coastal site along the South West coast, favoured for beginner and intermediate dives. The area features mixed seabed topography with sandy patches and rocky outcrops, typically sheltered conditions and calm seas when weather is favorable. Expect clear to moderate visibility and a range of nearshore marine life typical of the Plymouth vicinity, including wrasse, blennies, small groupers, tompot blenny, lobsters and scorpionfish. Access is straightforward from nearby towns, with the site commonly used for training dives and short coastal excursions from shore or small local boats.
