Grand Mal

Grand Mal Wall

Grand Mal Wall is a shallow to mid-depth reef dive site located near the coast, characterized by a prominent wall that starts in the upper 10s of meters and drops into deeper, shaded zones. The wall typically features coral gardens, plateaus, and ledges with a mix of hard corals, sponges, and a variety of reef fish. Entry is straightforward from a sandy bottom, and conditions are commonly calm with moderate currents, making it a suitable site for reef-diving training and for divers with varied experience. The nearby small towns provide access and surface support, with nearby dive centers and local operators offering guided dives. Expect to encounter typical Caribbean reef life, including silhouettes of grunts, parrotfish, angelfish, small barracuda, and moray eels, along with occasional larger visitors depending on conditions. The site’s proximity to Grand Mal, Moliniere, and Cherry Hill yields quick boat drops and easy surface intervals.
