Kushimoto
Glass World
Glass World is a local dive site near Kushimoto and Kozagawa on the southern coast of Japan. The site is accessed by shore or short boat trips from the nearby towns and offers calm conditions typical of sheltered coastal dives. Depths are generally shallow to moderate, making it suitable for experienced divers and training dives when conditions permit. The underwater topography features rocky outcrops and gradual slopes with typical temperate Pacific marine life common to Japan’s Kii Peninsula coast, including small reef fish, wrasse, and octopus in crevices. Visibility varies with weather and currents, but calm days provide clear water and pleasant surface intervals. Access from Kushimoto is convenient, with some divers using the town as a base for local shore entries.
