Garajau

Garajau is a local dive site off the south coast of Madeira, near Caniço, Funchal and Santa Cruz. The site sits in saltwater and is commonly accessed from the coast with a simple entry from a rocky shoreline. Depths typically range from shallow coastal zones to moderate depths, making it suitable for recreational divers with basic training. Expect a sloping seabed, with clear visibility in good conditions. Marine life is representative of Madeiran waters, including a mix of fish, invertebrates, and occasional nudibranchs, with around-the-reef habitats nearby.
