Ewa Beach
Ewa Pinnacles Reef
Ewa Pinnacles Reef is a shallow reef site off Oahu’s southwest coast. The area features a series of rocky pinnacles and sandy gaps that create varied swim-throughs and gentle drop-offs. Access is straightforward from nearby coastal towns, with calm conditions typical of tropical reef environments. Expect clear water, moderate visibility, and a mix of common Hawaiian reef life such as parrotfishes, wrasses, damselfish, and occasionally grazing turtles. The site is suitable for intermediate-level divers and for drift tendencies in larger platforms, but calm conditions are common and currents are generally mild. Entrances from the beach or a rocky ledge are straightforward, and the shallow topography makes this a good option for macro and training dives as well as exploratory reef diving.
