Egyptian Wreck

Egyptian Wreck is a coastal dive site near Plakias in southern Crete. This shallow, accessible wreck dive sits in relatively warm, clear Mediterranean waters with typical visibility for the area. The site features a sunken vessel resting on a sandy bottom, commonly explored by recent open-water divers with basic wreck training. Entry is from a gentle shore slope or small beach access, depending on conditions, and currents are usually mild to moderate. Expect seabed sand, scattered rubble, and common Western Mediterranean marine life around the wreck such as groupers, breams, and damselfish, with possible moray eels and octopus in crevices. The nearby towns of Damnoni and Asomatos are within a short drive for shore access and local dive centers offering guided dives and equipment rental.
