Double Hump is a local shore dive site off the Pacific Grove/Monterey area, known for a gentle reefy seabed with two underwater humps that create small drop-offs. Access from the beaches is straightforward; enter near low tide on calm days and descend along the rocky patches and sandy pockets. The site typically features clear Pacific water with mild to moderate visibility and a mix of kelp, crustaceans, and typical nearshore fishes. Divers may see juvenile rockfish, garibaldi, wrasses, and occasional sharks or rays depending on season. This is a calm, beginner-friendly site with easy entry and a relaxed profile, best done with current awareness and appropriate buoyancy control.
