Djeu (Ilhéu Dos Pássaros)

Djeu (Ilhéu dos Pássaros) is a shallow coastal site near Mindelo, São Vicente, in Cape Verde. Access is straightforward from the nearby towns, with divers commonly entering from a calm shoreline and drifting over a mix of sandy patches and rocky areas. The site features a gently sloping bottom that supports easy swimming and such conditions make it suitable for beginner to intermediate divers. Expect clear Atlantic water with moderate visibility and typical western Atlantic reef-associated species, including small fish, damselfish, and wrasse, plus occasional larger fish in the vicinity.
