Ciboure
Digue De Socoa
Digue de Socoa is a sheltered coastal site near Ciboure in the Basque Country. The breakwater provides access from the shore and yields a shallow, sheltered dive usually suitable for beginner to intermediate divers. Expect a mostly sandy bottom with shallow rock outcrops and some man-made structures close to the wall. Visibility is typically good in calm conditions, and marine life includes small schooling fish, blennies, and occasional wrasse. Entry is straightforward from the quayside, and currents are generally mild. The site can be used for easy training dives or relaxed exploratory dives along the breakwater and nearby patches of seabed.
