Cornelius Bay

Cornelius Bay is a shallow coastal site near Willemstad in Curaçao. The area features calm, clear Caribbean waters with typical reef-flat topography and sandy patches. Entry is straightforward from shore or a small beach, with shallow depths and gradual slopes suitable for beginner to intermediate divers. The site commonly hosts a range of Caribbean reef life, including damselfish, parrotfish, angelfish, and occasional larger reef residents visible around structure or along the sandy seabed. Visibility is generally good under stable conditions, and currents are usually light. Given its proximity to Willemstad, it makes for a convenient half- or full-day dive option combined with other local sites. Nearby towns such as Nieuwpoort are within a short drive, offering additional access and nearby facilities.
